Here's a number of attractive rhodochrosite specimens

from China.  Some in combination with pyrite and galena.

CNRDSPY01 - Rhodochrosite with Pyrite, Quartz and Galena

miniature - 4.2 x 3.0 x 2.1cm

This specimen consists of a matrix of lustrous galena xls covered by micro quartz and pyrite xls.  Perched in the middle of the specimen is a cluster of pinkish red rhombohedral rhodochrosite xls measuring 1x1cm.  No apparent damage, but perhaps a small ding.  An attractive specimen.

This specimen consists of a mass of rhombohedral rhodochrosite xls (to 8mm), some cleaved or partial as best I can tell.  They are surrounded by quartz and pyrite and what I belieive to be water clear (partial) fluorite xls.
