NAAZMAL01 - Azurite and Malachite
$ 295.00 SOLD
Tsumeb Mine, Tsumeb, Namibia
cabinet - 12.2 x 8.9 x 6.2 cm

Defunct Locality

Here's an exceptional specimen from Tsumeb! It consists of a mass of hefty matrix that is covered by azurite xls. They are dark inky blue, quite lustrous and display a bladed form occurring in semi-spherical aggregations. There are also minor micro malachite xls found on this piece as well as what I believe to be Bayldonite micro xls and perhaps a bit of calcite. Perhaps some cleaved xl tips, but nothing I can see, would I describe as damage. The more I look at this piece, the more I like it as there is a lot going on with it. Enjoy!

CNFLQZ01 - Fluorite on Quartz
$ 185.00 SOLD
Shangbao Pyrite Mine, Huangshi, Leiyang, Hunan, China
cabinet - 11.0 x 6.2 x 5.3 cm

This specimen consists of a mass of snow white, intertwined quartz xls that host two pale purple fluorite xls that display heavily modified cubic faces. I would best describe the crystallization as a stair step pattern. The larger fluorite xl measures 1.9x1.5cm, while the smaller one is 8x7mm. There is also a micro pyrite xl found on the right side of the piece. A very attractive (and undamaged) specimen to my mind. I like the way the fluorite lays on the quartz. Enjoy!
