Gypsum (Selenite) Specimen #Mex11 5.2 x 4.3 x 4.2cm Miniature Naica, Chihuahua, Mexico $15 Gypsum is a hydrated Sulfate with the name coming from the Arabic jibs, for “plaster”, and Greek gypsos for “chalk”. This specimen displays the twinning common to this species, forming a “swallow tail”. This piece has abundant individual almost colorless crystals, “growing” out of matrix.
