Adamite
Specimen #Mex01
Ojuela Mine
Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
5.5 x 3.7 x 2.7cm
Small Cabinet
$95

This specimen consists of a sedimentary matrix that plays host to a number of sharp, gemmy bright yellow adamite xls.  The xls have been exposed from a small vug.  They are almost all undamaged and quite gemmy.  The largest cluster of xls measures 1.6x0.8cm.  Mildly fluorescent under SW UV light.  Nice piece!

Aurichalcite on Goethite
Specimen #Mex02
Ojuela Mine
Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
6.5 x 4.1 x 1.6cm
Small Cabinet
ex Clyde Hardin Collection
$75

This specimen consists of matrix that plays host to rust colored botryoidal goethite xls covered by neon blue sprays of fibrous aurichalcite xls.  Minor periphery dings here and there, but only visible under magnification.  A very colorful specimen indeed!

Barite
Specimen #Mex03
Ojuela Mine
Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
5.2 x 4.5 x 3.5cm
Small Cabinet
ex A.L. McGuinness & Mike Groben Collections
$35

This specimen consists of numerous off white to light blue bladed barite xls forming a very unique shape.  The xls are somewhat pearlescent or iridescent when reflecting light.  Some dings here and there, thus the lower price. Unusual specimen.

Calcite on Murdochite
Specimen #Mex04
Ojuela Mine
Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
8.0 x 7.1 x 4.0cm
Small Cabinet
ex Mike Groben Collection
Rare Mineral
Fluorescent
$95

There's a whole lot going on with this piece. It consists of matrix that is literally covered by water clear calcite rhombs on near black murdochite xls.  Also scattered about the piece you'll find numerous window pane shaped light yellow wulfenite xls to 2mm.  There is also a bit of chalcopyrite found here and there.  Some edge dings to the calcite layer here and there.  When exposed to SW UV light, this specimen glows bright reddish orange. Wow!

Chalcopyrite, Calcite & Quartz
Specimen #Mex05
La Bufa Mine
Zacatecas, Mexico
6.8 x 5.1 x 3.5cm
Small Cabinet
$75

There is a whole lot going on with this piece.  There are quite a few golden chalcopyrite xls making up the "base" of this piece along with numerous calcite xls, some of which have been encased by quartz xls.  In one case, the quartz "case" has been been partially removed, thus exposing the underlying calcite xls which glow a bright red almost pink color under SW UV light.  This piece is much better in person than my humble photographs portray.  Please Note:  Mike has the location in Zacatecas, but I cannot say for sure that is exactly where this specimen originates from.  I've been told that Mike has always been very accurate with his descriptions, so just a heads up.  Cool rock!

Danburite
Specimen #Mex06
San Luis Potosi
Charcas
Mexico
2.7 x 1.8 x 1.2cm
Miniature
$25

This specimen consists of a single, ice cube clear, and gemmy danburite xl. There is a ding at the termination, thus the low price.  Otherwise, this is a wonderfully gemmy, singly terminated and showy specimen.

Fluorite
Specimen #Mex07
Coahuila
Mexico
6.7 x 3.6 x 2.7cm
Small Cabinet
$45

This specimen consists of a mass of ice cube clear cubic fluorite xls to 1.3cm perched on a stone matrix with a bit of botryoidal malachite and what appears to be rosasite.  Just an educated guess though.  Most of the fluorite xls are undamaged while a few smaller ones have cleaved edges.  The prominent xl (pictured below) has sharp edges and is virtually perfect. Nice piece!

Hemimorphite
Specimen #Mex08
Ojuela Mine
Mapimi
Durango, Mexico
10.3 x 6.7 x 3.0cm
Cabinet
ex Mike Groben Collection
$50

This specimen consists of matrix that is literally covered by very esthetic groups of very well defined and bright crystals whose terminations are neat and mostly intact. It can displayed from either side as my photos show.

Marcasite on Quartz
Specimen #Mex09
Guanajuato
Mexico
4.8 x 2.0 x 1.9cm
Miniature
$25

This specimen consists of a quartz xl that has been partially replaced by lustrous marcasite xls.  Some minor edge chaffing.  Nice piece!

Mimetite
Specimen #Mex10
San Pedro Corralitos
Chihuahua
Mexico
2.6 x 1.7 x 1.2cm
Thumbnail
$50

This specimen consists of a conglomeration of bright yellow/orange botryoidal mimetite xls on a bit of matrix.  No damage. Great color!

Pyrite
Specimen #Mex11
Zacatecas
Mexico
4.5 x 4.4 x 3.5cm
Miniature
ex Mike Groben Collection
$45

This is one unusual pyrite specimen displaying a hoppered crystal structure.  My photos don't do it justice and it displays much better in person.  It appears to be a floater cluster as well.  Minor damage to one side and it can displayed from any side as it is pure pyrite over matrix.  Enjoy!

Rhodochrosite
Specimen #Mex12
Santa Eulalia
Chihuahua
Mexico
2.4 x 1.6 x 1.3cm
Thumbnail
$35

This specimen consists of a sedimentary matrix that plays host to numerous gemmy, pink rhodochrosite rhombs.  Mostly intact with a bit of edge fray.  Nice piece!
