![]() Rhodochrosite, Quartz and Galena Specimen #rh08eu01 6.3 x 5.4 x 5.0cm Small Cabinet Batanci Mine Madan Bulgaria $95 Here's an an excellent combination specimen that displays rhodochrosite, quartz and galena. The rhodo xls form what I would call rosette masses to 1.4cm and are pale pink to salmon colored. They are nestled amongst numerous quartz xls as well as a number of galena xls. Pieces from this local are getting harder and harder to find. Enjoy! |

![]() Rhodochrosite Quartz and Galena Specimen #rh08eu03 8.7 x 5.5 x 4.0cm Small Cabinet Batanci Mine Madan Bulgaria $125 This specimen consists of a base matrix that displays numerous bright pink rhodo rosettes to 1.3cm. They are very lustrous and some appear to be iron stained, turning them a yellowish brown color. Interspersed amongst the rosettes are countless quartz xls giving the whole specimen a very attractive "sheen". In addition, the piece is covered with numerous jet black galena xls adding to the overall attractive appearance of the piece. Minor dings around the periphery. This is a quality Bulgarian specimen! |

![]() Rhodochrosite and Quartz Specimen #rh08eu04 11.6 x 7.4 x 4.8cm Cabinet Herja Romania Defunct Locality $125 Here's a rather large and showy Romanian specimen! It consists of numerous masses of rhodochrosite rosettes to over 1cm that are pale pink to almost white in color. Some exhibit what appears to be a bit of iron staining casting a yellowish tone on them. They are surrounded by numerous quartz xls and micro galena xls. No damage to the rhodo but there are a few broken quartz points. Excellent specimen from a defunct local. |

![]() Rhodochrosite on Alabandite Specimen #rh08eu05 8.7 x 5.3 x 3.0cm Small Cabinet Sacaramb (Nagyag) Apuseni Mountains Hunedoara County Transylvania, Romania Antique Specimen Type Locality $195 While visiting Jorde Fabre this year in Tucson, we found this awesome antique specimen. According to Jorde, it hails from mining operations that took place over 100 years ago. Specimens from Nagyag are very few and far between, to say the least! This specimen consists of a mass of alabandite that has a number of what I would describe as open vugs, that are lined with lustrous pink rhodochrosite rosettes. In addition to there are a number of small quartz xls as well as druzy pyrite. I have one other excellent Nagyag specimen listed in my "Vault" room. |
