![]() Atacamite, Chrysocolla, Pseudomalachite, Halloysite Specimen #SA02 8.3 x 5.7 x 2.5cm Small Cabinet La Farola Mine, Cerro Pintado Tierra Amarilla, Copiapó Province Atacama Region, Chile Type Locality $35 There is a whole lot going on with this rock. It's comprised of a base rock that's been covered (or painted over) with multiple generations or depositions of mineral species. There's a generation of blue botryoidal chrysocolla forming a base or possibly initial generation. On top of that there is a bit of pseudomalachite, and possibly olivenite. The large dark green sprays are atacamite, measuring up to 2.0cm. There is also a coating of white micro botryoidal crystals which we believe to be halloysite. They could also be kaolinite, but we're pretty sure that they're halloysite. There is a bit of "chipping" or "fraying" around the edges of this specimen. This is a very colorful and showy specimen none the less. Enjoy! |

![]() Rutile on Hematite Specimen #SA07 4.1 x 3.8 x 0.4cm Miniature Ibitiara, Bahia, Brazil $50 I love these specimens. They're extremely delicate and beautiful. The rutile "hairs" have the color of gold while the hematite is jet black. Enjoy! Please note: These specimens are EXTREMELY fragile and I cannot guarantee that they would arrive completely intact. If you would like to protect your interests, I highly encourage you to insure your shipment. This will increase your shipping costs, especially for overseas shipments. |

![]() Rutile on Hematite Specimen #SA09 4.5 x 3.7 x 2.6cm Miniature Ibitiara, Bahia, Brazil $100 I love these specimens. They're extremely delicate and beautiful. The rutile "hairs" have the color of gold while the hematite is jet black. This is the most three dimensional specimen in this offering. The off white mass attached to the rutile is something I am unfamiliar with. It has the consistency of cork, is spongy and soft to the touch and has intergrown amongst the rutile "hairs". This is probably my favorite rutile specimen associated with this offering. Enjoy! Please note: These specimens are EXTREMELY fragile and I cannot guarantee that they would arrive completely intact. If you would like to protect your interests, I highly encourage you to insure your shipment. This will increase your shipping costs, especially for overseas shipments. |

![]() Tourmaline Specimen #SA11 3.4 x 3.2 x 2.5 cm Thumbnail Pederneira Mine Minas Gerais, Brazil $75 This is one unique specimen. I've seen many a tourmaline specimen in my time, but the termination on this one is quite different and is why we snatched it up when we found it in Tucson this year. It appears that the xl grew up against another object as the termination is "flattened" but none the less intact with no damage to it. This is a matrix piece which is unique in itself. The elbaite xl sits on top of a bed of brownish lepidolite xls and is completely intact and un-repaired. The xl is gemmy and displays a blue green color. There is a small internal fracture within the xl. Comes mounted on an acrylic base. |
