Oh Canada, our benevolent neighbors to the north. Most of my experience and knowledge of Canadian mineral specimens centers around the mineral finds in the Mont Saint-Hilaire area. Located East of Montreal, Mont Saint- Hilaire has become a classic collecting site and one of the most prolific current sources of rare mineral species.
Besides, they've mined some really nice rhodo specimens up there in the great white north. Then there's the Jeffrey Mine around Asbestos, Quebec. I've come across some absolutely stunning Vesuvianite specimens from this now closed location. From Analcime to Stilbite, my first offerings from up north are sure to please! Some pretty cool rocks, eh? Cheers!
