Talk about diversity, this room has got
it. Italy, Switzerland, Romania, France, Ireland, Iceland (ya,
Iceland!), Greece, England, Spain and Scotland. There's a world wind
tour, all in the span of one sentence. What's there to say that the
mineral specimens portrayed here already don't? Personally, I find the
variety and diversity of European mineral specimens to be quite
outstanding. To my mind, Italy still seems to be one of the more
productive areas in this region, but who am I to say. If you like green
fluorite, then the Rogerly mine in England would interest you.
Really nice Sphalerite specimens? Look to Spain for these. Having been
to Europe a few times and seeing its diversity first hand, I guess it
would be foolish to think that the same diversity would not exist in
the European mineral world as well. I plan to show off quite a few
specimens I've acquired over the next few months and beyond. I'm
looking for a nice Rhodo specimen from Greece. If you've got one for
sale or trade, please let me know. Viel Glueck! |
