Rhodonite from North Mine, Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia

This specimen is pure gem!  I've seen many a rhodonite specimen and this one is easily the gemmiest one I've ever had the pleasure of handling.  There's a bit of attached, matrix I'll call it, but otherwise no damage.

In Arlene's words:  "This piece was acquired in a very average estate I purchased after I started the store.  By that time, I was a pretty serious thumbnail collector, so this was a great addition to my collection".
