This specimen consists of a mass of well terminated, lustrous quartz var amethyst xls that have been stained a reddish-brown color by hematite. The dark purple color of the amethyst can be seen by viewing the specimen from the side. A few minor dings and edge abrasion, but otherwise intact and quite a stunning piece.
